Smithville Teen Found Safe

A missing teenager from Smithville was located safely Monday afternoon, according to authorities in Clay County.

Authorities had been searching for 16-year-old Smithville resident Lexus Perkins since Sunday afternoon. Clay County Sheriff’s Captain Will Akin announced that Perkins had been located and returned home safely at around 4 PM Monday.
