Smithville Voters Say No to Half-Cent Public Safety Sales Tax

Smithville voters said no on Tuesday to a half-cent public safety sales tax.
Unofficial results from the Clay County Board of Election Commissioners say 860 total votes came in regarding the Smithville proposition.
With 53.26% of the total, 458 voters said no to the tax.
46.74%, or 402 voters, said yes.
