Some Missouri Republican Congressional Members Not Budging on Gun Reform Laws

(MISSOURINET) –  Despite the wish of most Americans, Missouri Congressman Blaine Luetkemeyer is rejecting calls for reforms to federal gun laws.

The Republican says more funding should be used to address mental health.

Representative Luetkemeyer also rejected President Biden’s calls for red flag laws that the president spoke about in an address to the nation, saying the they don’t allow for due process.

Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler – who’s running for the U.S. Senate – says no Republican should be negotiating with Democrats and any Republican tempted to even talk about gun responsibility laws should “stand down.”
