South Dakota Resident Strikes Tree in Monday Buchanan County Crash

A Sioux Falls, South Dakota resident suffered injuries in a Monday Buchanan County crash.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred around 10:35 Monday morning on northbound I-29, at mile marker 39.8, as 43-year-old Golda L. Lual drove a Toyota Camry.

Troopers say Lual lost control, began to slide, went off the east side of the road, slid down an embankment, struck a tree, and came to a rest.

Lual suffered moderate injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities say Lual did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
