South Dakota Woman Injured in I-29 Crash Tuesday Night

A Montrose, South Dakota, woman suffered injuries in an Atchison County crash Tuesday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 8:55 Tuesday night on I-29, two miles north of Watson, as 45-year-old Amanda L. Wallenkamp drove southbound.

Troopers say Wallenkamp experienced a medical issue, crossed the median, entered the northbound lanes, went off the east side of the road, and struck an embankment.

Wallenkamp suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Fairfax Community Hospital.

Authorities say Wallenkamp did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
