South Harrison Board Approves Salary/Benefit Package For 2020-21

South Harrison School Board members approved a salary/benefit recommendation that was presented for the board during their March meeting. The salary/benefit package will include a $1,000 addition to the base salary and an increase of 30 cents per hour for classified staff. The district will continue to pay full insurance. That will amount to just under $590 per month per employee. South Harrison’s School District will stay with MET as the health insurance provider.

Due to class numbers, South Harrison will add a 4th grade teaching position for the 2021-22 school year. The Business Management position at the high school will also be converted to a Health/PE position for the 2021-22 school year. The elementary computer lab position will also become a certified position rather than a classified position.

South Harrison’s board hired Aaron Fitzpatrick as a K-through-4th grade Physical Education instructor and Varsity Girls Softball Coach. Danyel Fitzpatrick was hired for the elementary computer lab position and Middle School Softball Coach. Steven Farrell was hired for Health/PE, Varsity Wrestling Coach, Middle School Wrestling, and Middle School Football Assistant. Morganne Sweat was hired for a 3rd grade position, Shay Albright for 4th grade, Takaya Pottorff for kindergarten, and Ben Schoning as Assistant Baseball Coach for this school year.
