South Harrison District Approved For Seamless Summer Meal Waiver

South Harrison Superintendent Dennis Eastin told South Harrison school board members Monday that the district has been approved for the Seamless Summer Meal Waiver. That waiver will allow the district to provide free and reduced breakfast and lunch meals for all those in the district that are 18 years old or younger. Those meals will be provided for those attending in-person classes or virtual learning. The meals will be provided for those distance learning if the school is contacted. The meals will be served from the back of the middle school facility. The funding for the service should last through the end of December.

During Monday’s meeting, Superintendent Eastin also reported that 49 students are now distance learning.

South Harrison’s board also received an update on their Comprehensive School Improvement Plan development.

South Harrison’s board also held an executive session at the meeting.
