South Harrison Selects Next Superintendent

South Harrison’s School District has announced their selection for the superintendent position of the South Harrison schools for next year.

Dr. Michael Estes will begin duties at South Harrison’s district on July 1st. He has served as principal of the Pioneer Ridge Middle School in Independence for the last 10 years and was also a teacher and administrator in Kansas for 11 years. He has earned a Doctorate of Education in District Leadership and Policy in addition to his master’s and bachelor’s degrees. He has administrative experience as a high school and elementary principal, and athletic and transportation director.

South Harrison’s School District selected 6 applicants from the original pool and narrowed the field to 3 for screening interviews.

Dr. Estes officially begins his duties as South Harrison principal on July 1st.
