Speeding Leads to Felony Drug Arrest in DeKalb County

A speeding driver in DeKalb County was arrested for a drug felony.

The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the arrest of 32-year-old Melissa J. Harper of Hamilton at 7:48 Monday morning.

Harper was speeding without insurance and faces an additional felony for the possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor for the unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.

She was taken to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail for a 24-hour hold.
