Sports Betting Could be in the Cards this Legislative Session in Missouri

(MISSOURINET) –  Sports betting could be in the cards this legislative session in Missouri.

Warrensburg Republican state Representative Dan Houx (howx) is proposing to let people wager on sporting events at casinos, on mobile devices and at some sports venues – bringing in an estimated nine-million-dollars in new state revenue.

During a Senate committee hearing today, state Senator Barbara Washington of Kansas City questioned Anne Scharf with the Chiefs.

Kansas is trying to lure the Chiefs to the state – instead of staying at Arrowhead Stadium. Governor Mike Parson says he will fight to keep the Chiefs in Missouri.
