Spring Turkey Activity Unlikely Affected By Weather Turns

Monday marks the one week mark of Missouri’s Spring Turkey Season. Telecheck numbers showed that a little over 18,000 turkeys had been harvested through Monday morning. Josh Roller with the Missouri Department of Conservation says weather generally does not limit turkey activity. It may keep hunters from hunting, and it may keep turkeys better hidden, but generally not less active.

In 2021, Missouri Spring Turkey Season hunters harvested 38,734 turkeys.
