St. Joe Man Hurt And Arrested After Accident Late Saturday

A one vehicle accident late Saturday night has left a St. Joseph man with moderate injuries and legal troubles.

The Highway Patrol says 53-year-old St. Joseph resident Jon M. Snapp was driving a 2017 Ford F-150 northbound on I-29 at 11:35 P.M. Saturday when the truck went off the west side of the interstate. Snapp reportedly overcorrected bringing the truck back onto the roadway where it overturned, coming to rest on its top.

Snapp was wearing a seat belt at the time but still suffered moderate injuries.

At 12:01 A.M. Sunday the Highway Patorl reports arresting Snapp for felony driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender and failing to drive on the right half of a roadway.

He was released for treatment and taken by private vehicle to Mosaic Life Care.
