St. Joseph City Council Approves Funding, Reviews Candidates for Open Seat

St. Joseph’s City Council unanimously passed bill 778-22, approving upgrades to the city’s 911 operating system.

Next, the city will apply to the state 911 Service Board, requesting funds to upgrade to internet-based system Next Generation 911.

The City Council also renewed a contract between Buchanan County and the St. Joseph Health Department, granting the latter almost $90,000 to provide “certain public health services” to county residents.

Council members also reviewed applications for the vacant District 2 position, announcing that six candidates remain.

The new member is expected to be sworn in before April 15th.
