St. Joseph Man Injured in I-229 Crash Late Monday

A Saint Joseph man was injured in a Buchanan County crash late Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-229, at mile marker 9.6, when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Jerrad W. Poland was heading northbound.

Troopers say Poland was struck in the rear by an unknown vehicle, overturned, and went off the east side of the road.

Poland was taken to Mosaic Life Care, in Saint Joseph, for treatment of serious injuries.

Troopers say Poland was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
