St. Joseph Man Suffers Serious Injuries in Buchanan County Crash This Morning

A Saint Joseph man suffered injuries in a Buchanan County crash this morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 6:42 this morning on I-29 in Saint Joseph as a vehicle driven by 38-year-old Eddismael Pereira Ayala headed southbound.

Troopers say Pereira Ayala struck another southbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Saint Joseph resident Ashley N. McClellan as she slowed due to a crash ahead.

Pereira Ayala suffered serious injuries and sought treatment at Mosaic in Saint Joseph.

Authorities listed no injuries for McClellan.

Troopers report all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
