St. Joseph Motorcyclist Injured Striking Deer on I-29

A Saint Joseph man was injured in a Buchanan County motorcycle accident Thursday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-29, three miles south of Saint Joseph, when a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Curtis P. McEnaney was heading northbound.

Troopers say McEnaney struck a deer and was ejected off the east side of the roadway.

McEnaney suffered moderate injuries and was taken to Mosaic Life Care for treatment.

Troopers say McEnaney was wearing proper safety equipment at the time of the crash.
