St. Joseph Pair Injured in Thursday Evening Platte County Crash

Two Saint Joseph residents suffered injuries in a Platte County crash around 5:39 Thursday night.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred on I-29, at mile marker 3.4, as multiple vehicles drove southbound.
Authorities say a vehicle driven by 44-year-old Kansas City resident Trasi L. Sorrells overtook and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by 50-year-old Saint Joseph resident Aaron M. McGaughy in traffic congestion.
Sorrells, McGaughy, and a passenger in McGaughy’s vehicle, 48-year-old Saint Joseph resident Dawn M. McGaughy, all suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at North Kansas City Hospital.
Authorities say all involved wore seat belts at the time of the crash.
