St. Joseph Police Officer Pleads Guilty to Assault

A Saint Joseph police officer pleaded guilty to an assault charge today in Buchanan County Court.

Reports say James Langston pleaded guilty to a charge of fourth-degree assault.

The court sentenced Langston to two years probation.

Reports also allege Langston will resign from the department and turn in his license.

The charges come after Langston reportedly struck a handcuffed suspect multiple times on April 6.
