St. Joe Police Officer Reportedly Involved in Shooting Monday Night

A Saint Joseph Police officer is reportedly on leave after their alleged involvement in a Monday night shooting.

Reports say police responded to Altec, on Riverside Road, around 11:44 Monday night in response to a 32-year-old Saint Joseph man pointing a gun at people.

Authorities say the man did not comply with orders to drop his gun and then pointed it at officers.

An officer shot the man and called for emergency medical services.

The man suffered critical injuries and is receiving treatment at Mosaic Life Care.
