St. Joseph Teen Injured in I-229 Crash Sunday

A Saint Joseph teen was injured in an Andrew County crash Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on I-229, at mile marker 12.2, as a vehicle driven by 17-year-old Christian I. McGuire was heading southbound.

Troopers say McGuire began to slide, went off the west side of the road, up an embankment, and struck a tree.

McGuire was taken to Mosaic Life Care, in Saint Joseph, for treatment of moderate injuries.

Troopers say McGuire was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
