St. Joseph Woman Injured & Arrested in DeKalb County Crash Tuesday

A Saint Joseph woman suffered injuries and faces charges in a Tuesday afternoon accident in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 12:25 Tuesday afternoon on Highway 6, two miles west of Amity, as 68-year-old Sherrill A. Roberts drove eastbound.

Troopers say Roberts went off the north side of the road, collided with a utility pole, and came to a rest.

Roberts suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Cameron Regional.

Authorities say Roberts did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Following the crash, troopers arrested Roberts on preliminary charges of driving while intoxicated via drugs and careless and imprudent driving involving an accident.
