St. Joseph Woman Injured in Clay County Crash Wednesday

A Saint Joseph woman was injured in a Clay County accident Wednesday.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Kansas Street, just west of Blue Jay Drive, when a vehicle driven by 23-year-old Kansas City resident Taliaferro Thompson was heading westbound.
Troopers say Thompson was stopped in traffic and was struck in the rear by another westbound vehicle being driven by 17-year-old Liberty resident Ciera M. Scott.
A passenger in Thompson’s vehicle, 28-year-old Saint Joseph resident Katherine P. Canaday, suffered minor injuries and sought her own medical treatment.
Troopers say all three involved in the crash were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
