Stanberry Board Reviews Summer Work Plan

Stanberry School Board members received a presentation from Stacey Helfrey of the Northwest Community Foundation about the creation of a school foundation. The presentation was part of a meeting Monday night. The topic has been discussed previously as a way to provide targeted funding for specific endeavors.

A summer work plan was also presented before Stanberry’s School Board. Most of the projects have been previously approved by the board. They include updates to the playground, the installation of new mats, a new Ag Classroom and Shop, and the renovation of the current Ag Classroom. Aiden Law and Wesley Bashor have been hired as summer workers for the maintenance staff.

A summer activity schedule was also presented. The plan has been designed to have most of the activities completed by the end of June.

The board reviewed the Enhancement grant applications and the Williford Grant.

The board hired Mikayla Louiselle to a teaching position.

The board accepted resignations from Veronica Giedd and Bradley Sheeley during the meeting.
