Stanberry Motorcycle Driver Killed In Highway 136 Accident
A Stanberry motorcycle driver died following an accident on Highway 136 east of Stanberry Saturday morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 61 year old Jay McGlothlin of Stanberry was operating a motorcycle and heading east on Highway 136, 3 miles east of Stanberry. A Kenworth truck attempted to turn on to Route F while the motorcycle attempting to pass. The motorcycle hit the driver’s side cab of the truck. The motorcycle overturned. McGothlin died at the scene of the accident. 26 year old Ethan Roach of St Joseph was operating the truck and was not injured.
The accident was reported to the Highway Patrol just before 9:30 Saturday morning. The Gentry County Sheriff’s Department and the Gentry County First Responders assisted the Highway Patrol.
