The City of Stanberry has received grant funding from the Missouri Public Energy Pool intended to upgrade the city’s electric system.

The grant is part of the MoPEP Power Infrastructure Modernization Grant Program. The grant amount is $21, 806 and will be used to help fund the recent improvements made to Stanberry’s electric distribution system through pole line hardware and substation recloser. The recloser is an automatic switch that shortens momentary faults.

The MoPEP Power Infrastructure Modernization Grant Program assists MoPEP municipal utilities to invest in long term capital assets of their local electric systems, to improve reliability and efficiency of electric infrastructure for systems supplied through MoPEP.
