(Missourinet) The state Department of Health and Senior Services has issued a COVID-19 hotspot advisory for seven northwest Missouri counties. Marshall Griffin reports.

Missouri says cases are rising in the areas of Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Gentry, Harrison, Holt and Nodaway counties. The department says the increases could be regional trend because of elevated cases in neighboring Iowa and Nebraska. Buchanan leads in the number of cases in the advisory – with 303 people testing positive. Nodaway follows with 156 cases.
