Stillman Pleads Guilty in 2-Year-Old’s Death

A St. Joseph man entered a guilty plea Monday to murder charges stemming from his role in the shooting death of a 2-year-old last summer in St. Joe.

St. Joseph resident 21-year-old Caimon Stillman entered a guilty plea Monday to charges of second degree murder for his role in the August 9, 2020 drive by shooting near 20th and Messanie Streets that left 2-year-old Raelynn Craig dead.

During Monday’s hearing Stillman admitted in court he was a passenger in the vehicle from which shots were fired at another vehicle which had Craig and two adults inside, and acknowledged he was responsible for the death of Craig.

Sentencing for Stillman was set for April 23.

Two other codefendants in the case are still awaiting court dates. Marcain Kimbrough-Ballard is do in court Thursday at 10 A.M. and Te’Avion Hawkins is due in court February 25 at 2 P.M. Judge Dan Kellogg will preside over both cases.
