Storage Units in St. Joseph Gutted by Fire Overnight

Storage units in St. Joseph were gutted by a fire Overnight.

The fire began just after 1 a.m. at the Red Dot Storage Facility on the 3000 block of Pear Street in St. Joseph.

The St. Joseph Fire Department responded and had to take shifts battle the blaze due to the intense flames gutting five units that were located at a newer building near the back of the facility.

No injuries are reported, however, one firefighter was taken to the hospital for an unknown medical condition.

A fire inspector is expected to investigate the cause of the fire.
