Summer Resurfacing Project Beginning Next Week in St. Joseph

A resurfacing project is set for next week on the Belt Highway in Saint Joseph.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says a resurfacing project is set to begin on U.S. Route 169 on April 3.

Crews plan to resurface the Belt from Interstate 29, at Exit 50, to Route FF.

Concrete repairs will begin April 3 and will be done during daylight hours, Monday through Saturday.

Motorists should expect single-lane closures with one lane, in each direction, remaining open.

Some 24-hour lane closures may be necessary to allow concrete to cure properly.

MO-DOT says crews plan to finish this first phase by June 26.

All work is weather permitting and schedules are subject to change.
