Summer Work Focus Noted For Campus At Worth County Board Session
Worth County Superintendent Chris Healy told Worth County School Board members that the school will focus their campus summer work on the maintenance of their Vocational Agriculture building during their February meeting. Superintendent Healy also stated that the projections for next year indicate a need for an additional elementary teacher for the 2023-24 school year. The district will likely add an additional first grade teacher. Two other teaching positions are open for the Worth County School District. A Kindergarten through 12 grade instructor and another position requiring a teaching certificate will need to be filled.
Worth County’s board approved the 2023-24 School Calendar at the session. The 2023-24 school year will begin at Worth County on August 22nd and end on May 16th. The school year includes 167 student days.
First Interstate Bank was approved as the school’s depository.
The board extended the contract with Elementary Principal Chuck Borey for the 2023-24 school year.
Board members offered the Activities Director position to Cree Beverlin. The board also offered a 7th through 12th grade special education position to Brittany Snyder for the upcoming year.
