Sunday Afternoon Crash in DeKalb County Injures Three

Three area residents were injured in a Sunday afternoon crash in DeKalb County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Highway 33 at Platte Road, two miles west of Osborn, when a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Osborn resident Karen F. Bobert was heading northbound.

Troopers say Bobert crossed the center line and struck an oncoming southbound vehicle being driven by 49-year-old Gallatin resident Shelly D. Morgan.

Morgan and two passengers from Lexington, 26-year-old Jessica L. Eddy and 35-year-old Brandy M. Shull-Batye, all suffered moderate injuries and were taken to Mosaic in Saint Joseph for treatment.

Authorities say all involved were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
