Suspect and Victim of Sunday Shooting Identified

The suspect of a Sunday morning homicide in St. Joseph has been arrested.

Sunday morning, the 38-year-old victim, now identified as Jeffrey Grippando was found shot on the 1800 block of North Second Street after a call from a resident.

That evening, police arrested 26-year-old Devin Ray Sollars. According to Missouri’s Casenet system, he has been formally charged with second-degree murder. Bond has been denied. He will make his first court appearance on Wednesday.
