Suspect Faces Multiple Felony Charges In Daviess County

A man with a listed address from Kansas City is facing six felony charges following a series of events which began on Thursday night in Daviess County.

The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department reports the Missouri State Highway Patrol was involved in a vehicle pursuit in Daviess County on Thursday evening, January 4th. The suspect and vehicle were not apprehended at that time, but on the following Friday afternoon, the Highway Patrol located the vehicle in Winston that was involved in the pursuit. The vehicle was determined to be stolen.

A missing 16-year-old juvenile was also found at the residence.

43 year old Kenneth Werner was then taken into custody on an investigate hold.

The Daviess County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office has now charged Werner with felonies which include Tampering with a Motor Vehicle, Resisting by Fleeing, Driving while Suspended/Revoked, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, Delivery of a Controlled Substance to a person under 17, and Delivery of Marijuana to a person under 17. He also faces misdemeanors of Supplying Liquor to a Minor, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Bond has been denied.
