Suspect in Murder of NWMSU Grad Student Found Dead

J.T. McLean (pictured), wanted for 4 murders, was found dead in South Dakota.

The man who is accused of killing a graduate student at Northwest Missouri State University and her 11-year old daughter has been found dead in South Dakota.

Forty-five year old J.T. McLean’s body is reported to have been found in the Dakota Dunes area last (Wednesday) night in a vehicle parked at a motel. McLean is believed to have murdered 43-year old Allison Abitz, who was an elementary teacher in Fulton, and her daughter last month at their home south of Columbia.

Law enforcement say they tracked McLean after he stole a vehicle. He was also wanted in Miller County in two other homicide investigations.
