Talk of Legalizing Recreational Marijuana Being Raised During Special Session

(Missourinet) Could the issue of legalizing recreational marijuana be raised again during this year’s special session? That question is making national news.

The Missouri Legislature returns to the Capitol on September 14th to debate Governor Mike Parson’s plan for an income tax cut and the extension of agriculture credits.  The pot question will be on your November ballot, but it has critics from a broad spectrum of policymakers.

Republican Rep. Ron Hicks of St. Charles County sponsored a bipartisan bill to legalize marijuana, but it never made it to the governor’s desk.  He says Governor Parson should listen to Missourians.
