Tarkio Man Injured in Atchison County Crash Thursday

A Tarkio man suffered injuries in an Atchison County crash Thursday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 5:30 on U.S. 136, three miles east of Rock Port, as 66-year-old Stephen D. McQuinn headed westbound.

Troopers say McQuinn lost control on the snowy road, crossed the center line, went off the south side of the road into a ditch and embankment, and came to a rest back on the roadway.

McQuinn suffered minor injuries and sought treatment at Fairfax Community Hospital.

Authorities say McQuinn did wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
