Tarkio Man Injured in U.S. 71 Crash Monday Evening

A Tarkio man was injured in a Nodaway County crash Monday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on U.S. 71 when a vehicle driven by 34-year-old Jason L. Ritnour was heading eastbound.

Troopers say Ritnour failed to stop at a stop sign, crossed over U.S. 71, struck a road sign, went airborne, and came to a rest in a field.

He was taken to a Clarinda, Iowa hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.

Troopers say Ritnour was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
