Teen Driver Injured in Gentry County

A teenage driver was injured in an accident in Gentry County.

According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, an unnamed 16-year-old female from Denver, Missouri was driving west on US-136 Highway Thursday morning.

Just before noon, she failed to negotiate a turn and the vehicle went off the south side of the roadway, striking an embankment. The vehicle overturned and came to rest on its passenger side on the shoulder of the east side of the road.

The driver was not wearing a seat belt and suffered moderate injuries. Assistance was provided by the Gentry County Sheriff’s Office and the driver was taken to Mosaic in Albany by Grand River Ambulance.
