The Macon Man Charged with Over 100 Sex Crimes Bound for Trial

The man from Macon who stands accused of over 100 sex crimes has been bound over for trial.

The defendant, Kenneth D. Harper, appeared in Linn County court with his attorney, Mitchel Jenkins, and waived a preliminary hearing.

Harper is charged with two counts of class C felony child molestation in the 1st degree, 90 counts of 1st-degree statutory sodomy deviate sexual intercourse with a person under 14 years of age while displaying a deadly weapon or causing serious injury, 26 counts of statutory rape 1st-degree sexual intercourse with a person less Than 14 years old.

The charges begin in August 1998 with at least one charge coming for each month through March 2005. The final charge is listed as originating in August 2010.
