Three Car Wreck Leaves Two With Serious Injuries
A three vehicle accident Monday morning in Platte County left two area women with serious injuries.
Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says at 10:10 A.M. Monday a 2019 Infinity WX50 being driven by 72-year-old Platte City resident Elizabeth A. Bruner struck the rear-end of a 2013 Chrysler 300 before running off the right side of the roadway. the vehicle then returned to the roadway where it impacted the passenger side of a 2020 International Harvester.
Bruner was not wearing a seat belt and suffered serious injuries. The driver of the 2013 Chrysler, 41-year-old St. Joseph resident Heidi M. Hordan, was wearing a seat belt but also suffered serious injuries. Both women were taken from the scene by KC Fire and transported to North Kansas City Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
