Three Injured in Accident Near Avalon

LIVINGSTON COUNTY, MO – Three were seriously injured following an off-road vehicle accident on a county road north of Avalon in Livingston County early Sunday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports 39-year-old James Adams of Hale was driving on County Road 306, 2.5 miles north of Avalon and went off the side of the roadway as the Polaria Razor was approaching a bridge. The vehicle went airborne and struck an embankment on the other side of the creek bed. The vehicle landed in the creek bed.

The driver and passengers, 35-year-old Lindsay Adams of Hale, and 34-year-old Dena Wright or Carrollton, were all seriously injured and eventually were all thrown to Kansas City hospitals.

The accident took place at 12:30 a.m. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Department and the Chillicothe Fire Department also assisted the Highway Patrol.
