Three Injured in Saturday Morning Buchanan County Crash
Three Saint Joseph residents suffered injuries in a Saturday morning crash in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports the accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. on I-29, at mile marker 43, as 20-year-old Alexis L. Talbott drove southbound.
Troopers say Talbott failed to negotiate a curve, went off the west side of the road, struck a sign, and overturned.
Talbott and a passenger, 20-year-old Javen T. Banks, suffered serious injuries.
A second passenger, 21-year-old Jyzzaiyah L. Bagsby, suffered moderate injuries.
All three sought treatment at Mosaic Life Care in Saint Joseph.
Authorities say Banks did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Following the crash, troopers arrested Talbott on a preliminary charge of driving while intoxicated via drugs.
