Three Injuries in Caldwell County Accident
Three people were injured in an accident in Caldwell County Wednesday.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reports the accident happening at 5:55 pm four miles west of Hamilton at US-36 Highway and Route B.
Driving north on Route B was 83-year-old Wayne A. Vincent of Hamilton. At the crossing of US-36, he pulled in front of a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Jerry W. Thompson of Pleasant Hill who was heading east with his wife, 77-year-old Helen L. Thompson.
The Thompsons’ vehicle struck the driver’s side of Vincent’s vehicle and a MODOT sign. The momentum carried both vehicles across the median where Vincent’s vehicle crossed both westbound lanes and coming to a stop off the north side of the highway.
All parties involved suffered moderate injuries with the Thompson being transported to Cameron Regional Medical Center and Vincent refusing treatment at the scene.
