Three Saturday Evening Tornados Rated Between EF-0 and EF-2

The National Weather Service survey team was able to determine three separate tornadoes in north Missouri on Saturday. The tornado that hit Trenton between 7:39 and 7:41 in the evening was determined to be an EF-O with estimated peak winds of 85 mph. The path length was 0.62 miles with a maximum width of 25 yards.

Two Linn County tornadoes could have been one continuous track, however, the first was rated an EF-2 with estimated peak winds to be 135 mph with an almost 12 miles path length. The maximum width was 250 yards. It hit between 8:22 and 8:46 pm. The second was between 8:57 and 9:14 pm and had winds up to 99 mph. That was determined to be an EF-1 with a 7.1-mile path and a width of 100 yards.

The supercell also produced large hail with hailstones up to softball size. There were also non-tornadic straight-line wind damage with winds estimated to be between 90 and 100 mph.

The Methodist Church in Trenton sustained extensive damage.
