Three Teens Injured in Atchsion County Crash Thursday Afternoon
Three teenagers were injured in an Atchison County crash Thursday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on County Road 170, two miles north of Tarkio, when a vehicle driven by a 13-year-old female from Tarkio was heading eastbound.
Troopers say the driver lost control on loose gravel, went off the south side of the road, struck an embankment, overturned once, and came to a rest off the south side of the road.
Authorities say a passenger in the bed of the truck, 17-year-old Shenandoah, Iowa resident Adrian V. Palmer, was ejected during the crash.
Palmer and another passenger, 17-year-old Shenandoah, Iowa resident Braden A. Clark, both suffered moderate injuries.
The 13-year-old driver reported minor injuries.
Troopers say only the driver was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
