A two vehicle crash Thursday morning near Kearney left a pair of drivers with serious injuries.

Troop A of the Missouri State Highway Patrol says 26-year-old Kansas City resident Tyler E. Murphy was driving a 2024 Chevy Silverado on Missouri Route 92 west of KeaRney at 8:55 A.M. Thursday when he attempted to make a right hand turn onto Plattsburg Road.

As he made that turn his vehicle was hit head-on by a 2014 Ford Focus being driven by 21-year-old Liberty resident Aiden A. Jackson.

Both drivers were reportedly wearing seat belts at the time of the accident but both still suffered serious injuries. Both men were taken by Kearney Fire and Rescue to Liberty Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
