Train Slams Into Dump Truck in Northern Missouri, Killing Three and Leaving Several Injured

(MISSOURINET) –  A train traveling through Missouri Monday afternoon collided with a dump truck – killing at least three people and injuring several others.

About 207 passengers and twelve crew members were aboard the train headed from Los Angeles to Chicago.

Missouri State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Eric Brown says the crash happened at an intersection near northern Missouri’s Mendon without electronic arms and flashing lights.

One person in the dump truck was killed and two train passengers also died. An investigation is underway.
