Trenton Man Due in Court on Child Abuse Charge

An arraignment and bond appearance hearing are set for a Trenton man facing a felony charge.

According to court records, 19-year old Dominic Andrew Jackson was arrested Friday on a charge of abuse of a child.  A probable cause statement filed with the court alleges Jackson used a belt to strike the buttocks of a three-year old child twice on July 22nd in Grundy County.  It is reported the child suffered significant bruising from the incident.

Jackson is incarcerated in the Grundy County jail with a $10,000 cash only bond.

He is set to appear for arraignment today and is next due in court August 11, at 9:00 a.m., for a bond appearance hearing.
