Trenton Pair Injured in Sunday Crash in Grundy County

Two Trenton residents were injured in a Sunday afternoon crash in Grundy County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred on Southwest 20th Street at Route W, five miles south of Trenton, when a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Jonah A. Newman was heading eastbound.

Troopers say Newman failed to go around a lefthand curve, traveled off the south side of the road, and struck a ditch.

Newman and a 13-year-old passenger both suffered minor injuries and were taken to Wright Memorial for treatment.

Authorities say both were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash.
