TRENTON, MO – Grundy County authorities have filed charges against a Trenton woman, alleging she assaulted a victim with whom she was in a relationship with.

A probable cause statement issued by the Trenton Police Department alleges Josy Simmons stabbed the victim with a pair of scissors on the right bicep, rib cage and the center of the back. The victim was hospitalized due to the injuries.

Simmons is on parole for drug charges out of Boone and Grundy counties. She is now incarcerated on the new assault charges with no bond.
